Even if there were a few that were unruly, you can't judge a group because of a select few. The Homestuck community works hard on what they make, and are only expressing their fondness for a story just like everybody else at Fanime.

this years fanime con wasnt great at all, i spent more time walking and waiting in lines than actually doing anything. there were far too many homestuck cosplayers than anime and the pre reg was a mess. not to mention the construction looked ugly and made the entrance a little congested certain times during the day. lack of guests, my goodness

because I didn’t like the same things as the other kids, I had more book-smarts than most of them but was super socially awkward, and I refused to do what they told me and be one of their minions.
